Springfield’s older neighborhoods — Rountree, Phelps Grove, University Heights, the streets near MSU and Drury — have mature trees, clay-heavy soils, and original landscaping that’s often grown well past its plan. Most of the work we do here is renovation: clearing overgrown beds, opening sight lines back up, refreshing the planting around homes that have aged into beautiful character.

In the newer subdivisions on the edges of the city, the work shifts toward drainage and first installs. The clay fill under newer construction sheds water into basements and across yards, and a season of standing-water photos usually tells us where to put the French drain.
